Part A

Personal Driver Market Opportunity

The market for paid + free plans aimed at individual Japanese drivers.

1. Scale of Japanese Expressway Use

MKT-01

Our addressable market is the Japanese driver population. The figures below outline the shape of that market, drawn from 2025–2026 disclosures by official Japanese government and industry sources.

2. The Problem We Solve

MKT-02

Japanese ETC cards bill toll usage on a 30-day delay. That means every driver — commuters, businesses, sole proprietors — keeps driving without knowing how much they have spent on expressways this month. MEISAI's official portal does provide the data, but it requires a manual monthly login, the interface is Japanese-only, and there is no programmatic export to email or accounting tools.

Our solution

We automatically deliver an ETC usage report by email every day. Yesterday's expressway charges arrive as a report the next morning — no logins, no waiting until the next bill.

Delivery format

Three files in one email: official Toll Certificate PDF, Detail PDF, and Detail CSV. Ready-to-file format for expense reports, bookkeeping, and tax records.

3. Foundation: 17,000 JapanETCcard customers

MKT-03

Japan Toll Receipts is built on top of JapanETCcard, which already serves 17,000 ETC-card customers in Japan. By migrating existing customers onto this platform, we begin not at zero but with a proven, trust-tested community. Not everyone will choose a paid plan, but a trusted base is the healthiest soil for steady paid-plan growth.

Operating since 2013

5. Target Customers (Paid Plans)

MKT-05

Our paid Daily Plus plan serves customers whose work depends on regular toll reporting:

Daily commuters

Want to track route and spend daily

Small businesses & sole proprietors

Need detail for bookkeeping and tax

Expense-filing employees

Need clean PDFs to submit to employer

Delivery & service operators

Need per-vehicle usage in one place

Field salespeople

Need per-client monthly rollups

Contractors & freelancers

Drivers who don't want manual MEISAI

Want to automate the monthly login chore

6. Strategy: Two-Tier Free + Paid

MKT-06

Free plan — broad reach

The free weekly plan requires no credit card and anyone can start. Customers experience value first — an automated alternative to manual MEISAI logins — and naturally migrate to paid plans when their needs grow.

Paid plans — for working professionals

Daily Plus delivers daily, monthly, and on-demand reports. For commuters, businesses, and expense filers, it replaces manual MEISAI logins entirely.

Part B

Corporate Fleet Market Opportunity

Market size and time-savings for Japanese companies operating multiple ETC cards across logistics, delivery, taxi, and field-sales fleets.

B1. Japanese Corporate Fleet Market Scale

MKT-B1

Below is the size of the Japanese corporate market and the scale of business-purpose ETC corporate cards in circulation. Every fleet-owning company faces the same recurring pain: monthly MEISAI logins, per-card downloads, and manual expense allocation.

B2. Time-Savings for Finance Teams

MKT-B2

Most Japanese companies run a monthly ritual: log into MEISAI for every ETC corporate card, download the PDF and detail file, then manually allocate trips by driver, department, or job before processing the invoice. JTR's Business Suite automates the entire workflow, delivering a consolidated fleet report straight to the finance inbox every day.

Manual today

6–18 hrs

A 50-vehicle fleet × monthly MEISAI processing. Equivalent to half-day to two-day finance workload.

With JTR

0 hrs

No more MEISAI logins. Consolidated reports and per-card CSV arrive in your inbox daily.

Annual cost recovered

¥360K+

At ¥2,500/hr × 144 hrs/year of recovered finance time — multiples of the Business Suite annual fee.

B3. Business Suite Target Industries

MKT-B3

The Business Suite delivers the most value to industries and departments that operate multiple ETC cards for daily work:

Logistics & Transport Companies

Long-haul truck and delivery fleets, all in one console

Companies with Sales Fleets

Auto-deliver per-salesperson company-car usage

Construction & Civil Engineering

Auto-allocate site-trip expenses by project code

Taxi & Hire-Car Operators

Daily consolidation of every taxi-fleet ETC usage

Travel & MICE Companies

Match toll spend to travel bookings, line by line

Accounting & Tax Firms

Manage ETC reports on behalf of client companies

Leasing & Car-Share Operators

Split per-vehicle ETC usage by lessee/tenant

Enterprise Finance Departments

Department- and branch-level rollups accelerate month-end close

Audit & Internal Control

31-point auto-validation prevents fraudulent expense claims

B4. Why Japanese Companies Need This Now

MKT-B4

Qualified Invoice Act (インボイス制度)

Since October 2023, only qualified-invoice-issuer transactions allow input tax deduction. Keeping clean, auditable toll evidence has shifted from 'nice to have' to a finance requirement. JTR's two PDFs (Certificate + Detail) and CSV are delivered in an accounting-friendly format that supports invoice-related review.

Electronic Books Act

Japan's Electronic Books Act mandates electronic preservation of e-transaction evidence. Storing PDFs on local desktops creates audit exposure. JTR delivers reports as electronic data into the inbox — preserved with timestamp, search keys, and tamper-evidence built in.

Labour shortage & work-style reform

Japan's finance-talent shortage is severe. Spending headcount on monthly manual MEISAI processing no longer makes economic sense. JTR returns that time to higher-value work — management accounting, budget control, audit-readiness.

Internal control & J-SOX

Fraudulent expense claims and fabricated trip records are real internal-control risks. JTR's 31-point automated validation gate and tamper-evident electronic trail materially raise audit quality for listed and pre-listed companies.

B5. Business Market Go-To-Market Strategy

MKT-B5

The Business Suite uses monthly billing with usage-based auto-adjustment that tracks your card count. Pure web self-serve. Zero setup fee, zero sales calls, zero contract negotiation. A finance manager can be live-running their fleet by end of day.

First 10,000 JTR accounts

Prototype slot cap — limited to 10,000 JTR accounts. Early Access program: priority feedback, priority support, price-lock guarantee.

Pricing model

From ¥1,980/month tax included per JTR Management Account (up to 10 ETC cards). Auto-adjusts as your fleet size changes. Cancel any month.

Distribution

Accountant/tax-firm partners, JapanETCcard's existing 17,000 customers, SEO (qualified invoice + expense automation keywords), industry media.
