Customer Consent Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Your consent is recorded

Your acceptance is recorded along with the timestamp, IP address, and content of the consent. You may withdraw at any time from your dashboard settings.

1. Scope of Consent

To use Japan Toll Receipts, customers must agree to the following items. These consents are confirmed during account registration and ETC card setup.

2. Required Consent Items

  • I authorize Japan Toll Receipts to assist with automated ETC toll usage report retrieval and email delivery with my consent.
  • I understand that Japan Toll Receipts is an independent service, not the official ETC usage inquiry service, NEXCO, or a toll road operator.
  • I understand that Japan Toll Receipts does not collect toll payments or unpaid toll charges.
  • I confirm that the ETC card, onboard unit, and vehicle information I provide is accurate and that I am authorized to access the related usage records.
  • I understand that incorrect ETC setup may affect report availability.

3. MEISAI Account Connection Consent (Method B)

When connecting an existing MEISAI account, the customer consents to the Service using their MEISAI credentials to automatically retrieve reports. These credentials are used only for report automation purposes.

4. Pass-Through Data Handling

Japan Toll Receipts is designed as a pass-through reporting service. Your toll receipt data is used to generate and deliver your scheduled report by email. We do not permanently store detailed live MEISAI toll transaction data on your dashboard. Only delivery metadata (report status, timestamps, transaction count) is retained.

5. Support Monitoring

During early beta, support may receive a blind copy (BCC) of report emails for delivery monitoring and quality assurance. This can be disabled as the system matures. No detailed toll data is stored from these copies beyond what is needed for delivery confirmation.

6. Withdrawing Consent

Customers can withdraw consent at any time. To withdraw consent, pause report schedules or deactivate your account through the dashboard settings. After consent withdrawal, the Service will stop accessing customer data.

7. Consent Records

The Service records the date/time, IP address, and content of customer consent. These records are maintained for service transparency and accountability.

8. Automation Notice

The Service automation features are not activated until production credential handling, connection testing, and customer authorization workflows are completed. Additional consent may be required before automation is enabled.

9. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate, that access to ETC card and related usage records is authorized, and that use of the Service is lawful.
